Lineage W is a massively multiplayer online role- playing game (Mmorpg) available for mobile devices, computers and consoles. Players won’t be charged as much as in previous games in the Lineage series, game publisher NCSoft said on Thursday at the second online showcase event held ahead of the game’s release. The Lineage W game will be released on November 3 at midnight. NCSoft’s Lineage M mobile game players staged a protest in April using LED light trucks demanding the company offer refunds. NCSoft has been criticized by gamers since the start of the year for charging users extra for better elements in games in order to beat others – the so-called pay-to-win business model – and for having used the model in many of its online games. The company will also continue to maintain the level and pricing of income-generating remunerations to be earned for two existing games, Lineage M and Lineage 2M. The exact way in which it will adjust the offending practice has not been specified, in terms of price and premium items made available.
